Day 1: Marrakech Welcome

Salaam Aleikum! Welcome to Morocco, a land of vibrant culture, warm hospitality, and breathtaking landscapes. If you arrive early in Marrakech, immerse yourself in the bustling souks or savor a traditional mint tea at a rooftop café while taking in the city’s enchanting views. Our journey officially commences with a welcome meeting at 6 pm, where you’ll meet your fellow travelers and local guide. After the meeting, opt to join a stroll to Djemaa el-Fna, the lively square at the heart of the Medina, offering a mesmerizing spectacle of performers and street food vendors.

Day 2: Imlil to Aroumd Trek

Start your day with a hearty breakfast and a group briefing at 8 am to prepare for our trekking adventure. Depart Marrakech and journey through picturesque plains towards Tahanaoute, enjoying panoramic views of the Atlas Mountains. Arrive at Imlil village and commence a gentle trek along the hillsides, admiring views of the valley and possibly spotting Mount Toubkal. Reach the mountain village of Aroumd (2000 meters above sea level) and settle into a traditional Berber-style gite for the night. Take a leisurely orientation walk around Aroumd in the afternoon.

Day 3: Aroumd to Toubkal Base Camp

Traverse the Ait Mizane Valley and ascend steeply towards Toubkal Base Camp at Neltner (3207 meters above sea level). Marvel at the majestic landscapes and visit the pilgrimage site of Sidi Chamarouch en route. Reach Toubkal Base Camp, where you’ll enjoy a nourishing dinner and rest in preparation for tomorrow’s summit attempt.

Day 4: Mt Toubkal Summit Trek

Commence an early morning ascent of Mt Toubkal, equipped with crampons and head torches for the challenging trek. Navigate rocky terrain and steep slopes, reaching the summit at 4167 meters above sea level. Enjoy panoramic views of the Atlas Mountain range and Sahara Desert from the summit before descending to Toubkal Base Camp.

After descending to Base Camp, enjoy a hearty lunch before returning to Aroumd for a celebratory dinner with your local hosts.
